Starb Stephen Hawking, ein renommierter Welt Physiker

As reported by the world's media, famous British physicist Stephen Hawking died early this morning at his home in Cambridge. He was 76 years old.

"We are deeply saddened because our beloved father died. He was a great scientist and an outstanding man whose work and inheritance will live for years," says a notice published by his children.

He is known for contributions in the field of cosmology and quantum gravity, and he devoted his scientific work to the field of exploration of black holes and to the works in which he presents his theories about the universe.

Stephen Hawking was born in Oxford in 1942, graduated from the Oxford University of Physics, and defended his doctoral dissertation from cosmology at the University of Cambridge.

In 1974 he became a member of the Royal Society of London, one of the oldest scientific societies in the world, and then a professor of mathematics and physics at the Lucas University Department of Cambridge, where he was once taught by giants like Isaac Newton and Paul Dirac.

When he was 22 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare form of motor neuronal disease, which is why he was only predicted for only a few years. The disease tied him to a wheelchair and could not speak without a voice synthesizer.

His contribution to science will remain a lasting memory and a reminder of the power of the human mind and the power of the will to fight life regardless of disease and all other obstacles....
