Building builders, caterers and drivers are looking for workforce on the coast before the start of the summer tourist season.

So far, Trebinje have gone to work on the Montenegrin coast, and recently more and more employers from Dubrovnik are coming to this city in search of labor.For some time construction workers have gone to neighboring Croatia since the daily allowances are two to three times higher than in the south of Republika Srpska and range up to 100 KM. A few days ago, an unusual announcement was made in Trebinje.

"I'm looking for a masonry. Dinner 100 KM ", was written on the ad with the phone number for information and logins.

That the labor force from Croatia is going to the richer countries, and Herzegovina's chance to see more profits in the EU border has become clear to the owners of Trebinje construction companies, so that some, in order to retain workers, have raised the daily allowance for construction workers.

"The daily wages are somewhat higher than before. In our country, construction workers can earn from 30 to 55 KM a day with one meal, "said EuroBlica at a construction company.

In this company, they say that since a large enterprise, workers are generally not hired individually, but as subcontractors they take other businesses, so the departure of the builders is not felt much.

"Workers in Trebinje come from the interior of BiH. It's like a circular stream, everyone goes where they think it's better to earn. Some come to Herzegovina, others go to Dubrovnik or to the Montenegrin coast. We always find ourselves, "they explain in this company.

In addition to the construction worker, the required work force before the summer season on the Dubrovnik coast are waiters and chefs. According to the "EuroBlica" information, some waiters from Trebinje hotels also announced their departure to the neighborhood.

"In the last few years in Trebinje, I have run kitchen workers for a restaurant in Dubrovnik in the summer season. So far I have been satisfied with the workforce, "says EuroBlic, the owner of Dubrovnik's catering facility. He acknowledges that his wife is from Trebinje region, so she has more acquaintances and better recommendations.

The required labor force is also the mothers and caregivers of the elderly.

"For some time I have been worried about the old woman in Dubrovnik. The salary is 600 euros, and I work every other month. I am satisfied with the conditions and salary, "says one Trebinje pensioner. She adds that she is happy that she managed to supplement the home budget, since the company in which she worked failed after the privatization, so the pension is very small.

The European Union border is becoming increasingly looser when it comes to neighboring everyday life. Trebinje for Dubrovnik, who are regular guests in the south of Herzegovina, is no longer just a place of cheaper purchases and good food, but also a certain stock market. Neighboring Dubrovnik for Trebinjce, apart from a tempting destination for swimming and walking, has become a place for better earnings.

Workers for work on the Croatian coast are working without the mediation of the Employment Bureau, because Croatia and BiH have not yet signed an agreement in this area.
