SDA Sandzak against the departure of Bosniaks in the reserve force

While the Ministry of Defense of Serbia claims that there is no reason for anyone to be concerned, SDA Sandzak is seeking exemption from Bosniaks from military exercises.

Sandzak Party of Democratic Action (SDA) requested from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and, as stated, the Serbian Army exempt Bosniaks from Sandzak from calling and deploying to the reserve force and participation in military exercises.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and the Army of Serbia (VS) point out that there is no reason for anyone to be disturbed by the invitation to serve in the reserve force of the Serbian Armed Forces.

SDA Sandžak General Secretary Ahmedin Škrijelj said that the Bosnians will not respond to such calls in order not to expose themselves to the risks and realities of life, Anadolija agency reports.

"Bearing in mind the crimes committed by the Serbian army against the Bosniaks that have not been illuminated and punished to this day, we demand from the Serbian judiciary that the real and objective fear of Bosniaks is not taken by the Serbian armed forces as an aggravating circumstance and a basis for punishing Bosniaks for not responding to military exercises and deploying them to the reserve force of the Serbian Army. Any violent abduction and punishment of Bosniaks who do not respond to the reserve force and military exercises are considered organized state violence with the aim of intimidating Bosniaks, "Škrijelj said.

'State violence'

He said that the SDA Sandzak addressed the President of the Republic of Serbia, the Prime Ministers and the Minister of Defense with the request to exclude Bosniaks from deploying them to the reserve force of the Serbian army and referring to military exercises until, as he underlined, members of the Serbian the armies that participated in the crimes against Bosniaks and until the final solution for the status and status of Bosniaks and Sandzak was determined.

According to Škrijelj, the SDA party Sandzak party appeared to a large number of concerned parents, whose children received calls for deployment in the reserve army of the Serbian Army and participation in military exercises, with the demand to protect them from this type of pressure and life threat.

"The violent abduction and punishment of Bosniaks who do not respond to reserve forces and military exercises are considered organized state violence with the aim of intimidating Bosniaks. Bosniaks in the Serbian army and other Serbian armed forces see threatening armed forces that showed hostility to Bosniaks since the breakup of the former SFRY until today, "Škrijelj said and urged the European Union to organize a dialogue between the Serbian authorities and legitimate representatives of Bosniak Sandzak and mediate in it.

Representatives of SDA Sandzak showed reporters for announcements for announcing a schedule in the reserve army of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as misdemeanor applications and calls for appeals to the court for not responding to those calls for the six youths from Novi Pazar.

Ministry: 'There is no reason for concern'

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia responds that there is no reason for anyone to be upset by the call for military exercise, or by calling to serve as a reserve force of the Serbian Armed Forces.

"It is a matter of regular calling of military payers to military exercises, which is a practice that is applied in this area since the end of the Second World War, and in the legal system of the Republic of Serbia it is applied from November 5, 2009. In the same or similar way, is regulated in many European countries, "spokesman for the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, captain of the frigate Jovan Krivokapic, said.

He emphasizes that all calls for reserve service are regularly published on the website of the Ministry of Defense and include military payers on the territory of the entire Republic of Serbia.

"Military exercises of the reserve force have nothing to do with national affiliation, either with any other commitment, nor with politics, and should not be used to attract media attention. They have exclusive links with the laws of the Republic of Serbia and the rights and obligations of its citizens," Krivokapic responding to Anadoli's request.

According to Krivokapić, all persons in the reserve force that have a schedule in the reserve force of the Serbian Armed Forces, in accordance with their military specialty, ie vocational training and occupation, are regularly called for training, training and training for the execution of missions and tasks in peace and war, on military exercises (exercises, courses and other forms of military training).

He adds that citizens in the defense of the country have the right and duty to execute military, labor and material obligations according to the defense plans.

According to the applicable regulations in Serbia, the obligation of the person in the reserve is to respond to the time and place indicated in the call, which is to be submitted no later than 30 days before the scheduled date of the notification.

In case of non-refusal, a fine of up to 424 euros or a prison sentence of up to 60 days is foreseen.

Calls for military exercises and replenishment of the reserve force of the Serbian Armed Forces began to arrive at the addresses of a number of military payers since June 2017, reminds the agency Anadoli.

Since the 1990s, Bosniaks from the Sandzak area have not been invited to military exercises of the JNA, the Yugoslav Army, and the Serbian Armed Forces.
