SDA Sandzak against the departure of Bosniaks in the reserve force

While the Ministry of Defense of Serbia claims that there is no reason for anyone to be concerned, SDA Sandzak is seeking exemption from Bosniaks from military exercises.

Sandzak Party of Democratic Action (SDA) requested from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and, as stated, the Serbian Army exempt Bosniaks from Sandzak from calling and deploying to the reserve force and participation in military exercises.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and the Army of Serbia (VS) point out that there is no reason for anyone to be disturbed by the invitation to serve in the reserve force of the Serbian Armed Forces.

SDA Sandžak General Secretary Ahmedin Škrijelj said that the Bosnians will not respond to such calls in order not to expose themselves to the risks and realities of life, Anadolija agency reports.

"Bearing in mind the crimes committed by the Serbian army against the Bosniaks that have not been illuminated and punished to this day, we demand from the Serbian judiciary that the real and objective fear of Bosniaks is not taken by the Serbian armed forces as an aggravating circumstance and a basis for punishing Bosniaks for not responding to military exercises and deploying them to the reserve force of the Serbian Army. Any violent abduction and punishment of Bosniaks who do not respond to the reserve force and military exercises are considered organized state violence with the aim of intimidating Bosniaks, "Škrijelj said.

He said that the SDA Sandzak addressed the President of the Republic of Serbia, the Prime Ministers and the Minister of Defense with the request to exclude Bosniaks from deploying them to the reserve force of the Serbian army and referring to military exercises until, as he underlined, members of the Serbian the armies that participated in the crimes against Bosniaks and until the final solution for the status and status of Bosniaks and Sandzak was determined.

In case of non-refusal, a fine of up to 424 euros or a prison sentence of up to 60 days is foreseen.

Calls for military exercises and replenishment of the reserve force of the Serbian Armed Forces began to arrive at the addresses of a number of military payers since June 2017, reminds the agency Anadoli.

Since the 1990s, Bosniaks from the Sandzak area have not been invited to military exercises of the JNA, the Yugoslav Army, and the Serbian Armed Forces.
