Security deposits range from 1500-4000 AED depending on car category and your company's profile. The deposit is blocked on your credit card (not charged, just held) and released when you return the car in good condition, usually within 7-21 days after return. With Octane Rent, my deposit was 2000 AED for a mid-range sedan, blocked on credit card for the entire rental period. Any damages or unpaid fines are deducted from the deposit. Important: make sure you get a detailed vehicle condition report when you pick up the car, with photos of any existing scratches or damage. Take your own photos too.
