Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to "suffer in silence"

The gap between rich and poor in BiH is growing , but the socio- economic crisis in the country has not yet reached the level that could launch a social uprising , analysts say. The 2014th do not expect significant changes .

Representatives of citizens' groups argue that the data of the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina , according to which the average monthly salary in the country is around 800 KM , do not reflect the real situation . Such average , analysts said , was obtained thanks to the huge incomes of employees in public administration and a number of public companies in this country . According to the association of consumers , the monthly income of the majority of citizens in BiH amounts from 200 to 600 KM , while the monthly income of a large number of pensioners below 300 KM , published by Deutsche Welle .
On the other hand , the monthly income of employees in public administration , and in the institutions of government , and exceeding 5,000 KM . Entitled " The collapse of us is guaranteed ," political analyst Almir Terzic announced on his Facebook profile data on a monthly income of BiH parliamentarians . According to these figures , only the fees for visits to the family , separation, accommodation , entertainment and the cost of mobile phones that receive individual parliamentarians , several times higher than the average income of the majority of employees in BiH .

In Bosnia and Herzegovina there is no more middle , working class

Almir Terzic believes that the gap between rich and poor in BiH increasing , and that the current political elite in either of 2014. year nothing will take to reduce the differences .

" All the time they worked for themselves , party , group and family interests . If public enterprises and state-owned firms are not cheap privatized , turned them into their feudal estates . Did so many social differences that BiH no longer exists medium , working class , unless it is not counted in the state administration , which is made up of their staff , "says Terzic Deutsche Welle.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is the poorest European country and in many ways inferior to countries in the region . What we are leading the corruption and the amount of wages of employees in government institutions . " For example, a minister in the Council of Ministers has the basic income of around 2,200 euros , while his counterpart in Serbia or Montenegro, around 1,000 euros . In doing so, the average salary in Montenegro 480 euros , and in Bosnia and Herzegovina , according to the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina , 410 euros . Where is the logic and social justice ? In BiH officials think only of themselves , apart from the few who have renounced their salaries . Everything else just plays for hungry people , "said Terzic .

No more socialist self-

Professor of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo, Dr. Salih Foco considered to be in a transitional society " hard to talk about" social justice because instead of the old system , which relied on social equality , established " a system that implies inequality " .

"Social stratification in BiH are conditioned by the process of privatization and the collapse of the model according to which the workers were the owners of the means of production . Middle class has disappeared , and a large number of BiH citizens today is in need . Such a process of privatization imposed on almost all Eastern European countries " said in an interview with Deutsche Welle sociologist Salih Foco .

However , while most other Eastern European countries advanced in the process of joining the EU , and some of them are among the most developed states of the European community of nations , Bosnia and Herzegovina has stagnated . Analysts estimate that the blame for this lies not only with the political elite , but also the citizens , who for over twenty years suffer from inefficient government . In other countries, governments fall , senior officials suspected of crime , abuse of authority , or end up in prison , and citizens in the demonstrations often triggers positive social processes .

Why BiH citizens suffer in silence ?

Explaining the BH phenomenon , sociologist Salih Foco says that there is no critical social mass that can change the situation in this country .

" Because of the constitutional order and the division of the ethnic groups is not possible to obtain a critical mass for social change and that's what I would differ from other countries . And last year's protests for a unique personal identification number (PIN ) show the state of mind in BiH . Though it was a interest of all citizens regardless of their ethnicity , at the height of the protests there were more than 5,000 people , "says Foco .
