Lajcak: Yes I am a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I participated in protests

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the former High Representative of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Miroslav Lajcak said in an interview for the magazine " CorD " not at all surprised by the protests of citizens in BiH .

" The citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have already felt too much injustice in the economy and society of their country , as well as incompetence , lack of rule of law and a high degree of corruption . Their desperation heating up the current situation and bleak prospects . It has forced people to take to the streets , "says Lajcak .

According to him , local politicians are most responsible for the political, social and economic situation in which the BiH today.

" If I were a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina , I participated in the protests , because their politicians bear a huge responsibility for the situation in which the land is located.
Exerting pressure on them is the only way to commit to solving the problem " , said he .
Lajcak noted that other countries in the Western Balkans have made significant progress towards the EU .

" Perhaps some skeptics by surprise, but I see it as another confirmation that the Balkans belongs to the European family .
