Storm IN GERMANY swept five lives
At least five people died in a storm in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, announced late Monday by German police. Bild writes that suddenly hovering black clouds, and it seemed to be coming end of the world.
Three people were killed in Duesseldorf, were firefighters, adding that people have sought shelter from the storm under a tree in the garden, which then collapsed on them.
In Cologne in a bad storm toppled a tree on the cyclist, police said, while a man was killed in Essen eliminating damage caused by the storm but does not specify any more details on the causes of death.
The storm, which lasted about half an hour, stopped trains and prevent the planes to fly, while thousands of fallen trees blocked streets. Wind, lightning and hail that fell damaged houses and cars. During the night there was a calming time.
Damage to cars and homes will be in the tens of millions of euros.
