BiH needs more Brussels and less Dayton

Valentin Inzko, the High Representative in BiH, on Friday said in Banja Luka that the medium and long term for the closure of the OHR and he wanted to be more Brussels and less of Dayton.

After talking with Nedeljko Cubrilovic, the President of the RS National Assembly, Inzko said that the Dayton Constitution of BiH and that there remains the regime in BiH with two entities, unless the three nations agree otherwise.

During the interview felt that they needed creating an environment for investment, so as to be less scandal, and more climate favorable to investment.

Inzko stressed that BiH itself chose Euro-Atlantic path, and that German-British initiative for BiH to get support at the meeting of foreign ministers of the EU.

"They are not conditions are easier, but the second order and will be faster and easier to get candidate status if the conditions are fulfilled by asking the Union," noted Inzko.

Cubrilovic after the meeting expressed hope that the cooperation with the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina to be correct regardless of who performs this function and regardless of the attitude of the RS that the OHR should end its mandate.

"Institutions of BiH and RS should be trained to independently run this country, using their potential and independently resolve issues of its citizens," said Cubrilovic.

He stated that the priorities of the National Assembly in the upcoming mandate will be economic issues and create conditions for a better economic environment.

"Parliament will accept, to try to propose and shall be adopted laws that create security for investment, job creation, because it is a faster way to solve social and all other vital issues of the citizens of RS," said Cubrilovic.

The High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday during his visit to Banja Luka and talked with Joseph Jerkovic, Vice President of RS, and Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska.

A statement from the office of President of the Republic of Slovenia, after a meeting with Inzko emphasized that Dodik said that the process of constitution of the RS authorities to be completed by 20 December.

Dodik said he supports a new approach towards BiH's European integration, noting that the RS has had a proactive approach in dealing with the so-called European issues, but that is because of the lack of agreement in the FBiH it stopped.
