Lagumdzija welcomed the conclusions on Bosnia and Herzegovina in Brussels

SARAJEVO - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdzija welcomed the conclusions on Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is today at a meeting in Brussels adopted by the Council on Foreign Relations of the European Union (Foreign Affairs Council - FAC), announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs BiH.

adopted the conclusions of the Council, among other things, reiterated that is unequivocally committed to the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina and concurred with renewed access to the European Union to BiH on its way to joining the European Union, within which all the conditions, including the adoption of solutions for enforcement of the judgment in the case "Sejdic - Finci", have to be met.

The Council invited the High Representative Federico Mogherini and European Commissioner Johannes Hahn to continue their engagement with the aim of ensuring as soon as possible irrevocable written commitment of BiH. Political leaders to undertake the necessary reforms in the framework of the accession process to the European Union.

The conclusions stated that after the written statement to be agreed by the BiH Presidency, signed by political leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina and adopted by the BiH Parliament, the Council make a decision on the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement.

At a later stage, after significant progress in implementing the reform program should be developed and implemented in cooperation with civil society, including the "Agreement for growth and employment", the EU will consider BiH's application for EU membership.

When seeking the opinion of the European Commission (EC) on the application for membership, the Council of the European Commission asked to pay special attention to the implementation of the judgment "Sejdic-Finci".

It also stressed the crucial importance of quickly forming a government and urged leaders in the country to ensure this.

Lagumdzija said that they adopted conclusions entirely on the line of what is advocated in the past year and what is potcrtavao during all meetings with European officials.

Lagumdzija thanked all the member states of the European Union and the EU at all for expressing their support for European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and giving me a chance. He expects all relevant institutions in BiH and political actors make every effort to ensure that all what the European Union expects BiH was filled.
