Today the government on Tuesday accepted a proposal that Croatia should begin evaluation for entry into Schengen. Ostojic said that realization only technical preconditions will not mean Croatian accession to Schengen, but it is necessary to regulate border management, visas, migration and asylum, edit the police and security, the Schengen Information System, customs cooperation, personal data protection, judicial cooperation and a number of other elements the application of the Schengen acquis.
Minister Ostojic said the Croatian accession to the Schengen zone allow unhindered movement of Croatian citizens throughout the Schengen Area and Croatia to open for people from these countries.
