Banned Netanyahu speech on radio and television

Israeli Election Commission on Tuesday banned the broadcast on radio and television speech the former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a few hours before the close of voting at 22.00 hours local time (20.00 Central European Time).
Benjamin Netanyahu, who called the media at his residence in Jerusalem, sent a strong call to vote for Likud, the right-wing party.

"The only who are forbidden to speak to the media, that's me! No one will shut up! There's still a significant gap between Labour and Likud. We take a decisive battle. The only way to bridge this gap is going to vote and to vote for Likud" Netanyahu said.

He once again accused the Zionist Union, led by Labour Isaac Herzog, his main rival, that is financed by "foreign funds" and that he supports "Joint Arab List," which brings together the largest party representing the community of Israeli Arabs.

The Election Commission has considered that this intervention was an election "propaganda" while the election campaign officially ended on Monday night.

The latest polls gave the lead to four points (25, or 26 of 120) list Herzog opposed to Netanyahu.
