Association from Zvornik: We'll cut Peace march and we will organize protests


Association of disabled war veterans (DWV) Zvornik Municipality will organize protests and cut column Srebrenica March for peace if in the column "be worn any provocative labels that offend the Serbian nation", said today the president of the Association RVI Dragislav Mijanović.

Mijanović said that under the provocative labels as "the so-called war flag. Emphasizing that respects the right of each nation to the civilized way mark important dates from their history, Mijanović added that RVI want to peacefully express their dissent against the war highlighting flag, to prevent this phenomenon, which is focused on unnecessarily provoking ethnic hatred.

Mijanović stated that, if necessary, peaceful protests and gathering of members and supporters of the association be organized from 8 to 10 July, at different locations, adding that of all things Bijeljina Public Security, Public Security Station in Zvornik, and the police station in Bratunac and Srebrenica.

Mijanović stressed that protests RVI are not aimed at preventing the Peace March, but that it "represents the voice of reason against intolerance and hatred in the region." Association of Disabled Veterans of Zvornik and urges the competent authorities of the Republic of Serbian, in accordance with its mandate, to prevent the illegal highlighting features that victims of the war in the Serbian people as a whole deeply humiliated and insulted.

Peace march is a pedestrian walk, which takes place in the framework of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica and its surroundings with the aim of paying tribute to the victims of genocide and reminders of the horrific crimes committed by police and military forces of the Republic of Serbian, backed by forces from Serbia, against Bosniaks from the protected zone UN - Srebrenica in July 1995.
