Suspect arrested for the attack in Turkey

Turkish Prime Minister did not mention the name of the suspect for the attack in Surucu, adding that it is probably associated with the group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the Turkish security forces arrested a suspect in connection with yesterday's attack in the southern city Surucu and that the investigation into the case is ongoing.

Davutoglu said earlier that the Turkish authorities have identified the suspect bomb suicide attack in Surucu, near the Syrian border, which killed 32 people, and domestic and foreign contacts, and people are being investigated.

On the press conference did not say the name of the suspect, but said that there is a strong likelihood that the attack was a suicide bomber linked to the group Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

"One suspect in the attack has been identified. All domestic and international links are being investigated. We expect that the investigation will be completed as soon as possible."

"Turkey has taken all necessary measures to combat ISIL and the team will continue," Davutoglu said.

"We are faced with a terrorist act, and we intend to find and punish those responsible," he said, adding that security measures on the border with Syria to be increased.

Turkish media reported that authorities suspect one of a group ISIL, who, along with two other women from Syria crossed into Turkey, was behind the suicide attack in Surucu, in which hundreds of people were wounded.

Target of the attack, which occurred on Monday was a cultural center in Surucu, where members of the Union of Socialist Youth stayed as part of a summer mission to help in the reconstruction Kobanea, which lies just across the border in Syria.
