VIDEO: Deputy Sheriff black student dragged across the floor grade
US federal authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of violence against a student in South Carolina.
Federal US authorities announced on Tuesday an investigation of human rights violations, and the investigation to the circumstances of violence against black student in South Carolina which is broken down and dragged along the ground by a white deputy.
The suspect in the incident, identified as Senior Deputy Ben Fields, is absent from work after a video posted on social networks where you see how broken down student who was sitting at his desk, and then dragged across the floor of the classroom in high school Spring Valley.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice opened an investigation to determine whether they violated federal laws, the statement said these institutions.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott lead an independent investigation into the incident that occurred at a time of intensified supervision on the use of force of the American police, especially against minorities.
"It is very disturbing what happened today. About this I have to look and that's what we do, "said the sheriff.
Previous charges
No one was seriously injured, and officials say the incident occurred after the student refused to order Field to leave the classroom because it is disrupting work. The incident was recorded students phones, and footage has caused outrage on social media.
The footage shows how Fields seeks to student stood up. She remained in place and then the deputy wrapped his arm around her neck, and then breaks the table backwards until she fell to the floor.
Fields then sheds some still on the floor, then ordered her to put her hands behind her back and put her handcuffs.
The footage does not see that girl resists or to argue with the officer for a short shot. She was charged with "disturbing the work of the school" and was released home.
Another student of the same class is also charged, and any identity has not been released.
In the second, longer recording in the classroom, is heard Fields says another student who spoke to did not agree with the situation, "Hey, you'll next go to jail."
On Tuesday it was announced that Fields previously sued and accused of excessive use of force and attacks on dark-skinned suspects.
