Europe can not build its future on immigration

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday that it would be dangerous if Europe accepted a large number of migrants in an attempt to solve its demographic and economic problems.

"Europe can not build its future on immigration instead of families," said Orban in a press conference.

Orban, who is opposed to economic migrants settling in Hungary, said that Europe needs to adopt rules that would suit families and to support having children because it is a "survival of our civilization and our culture."

Orban's government has introduced tax incentives, subsidies for housing loans and other measures in an effort to boost the birth rate in Hungary.

Population in Hungary since 1980 every year less and less, and in 2011 dropped below 10 million for the first time since 1960.
