France sent an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf
France sent an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf to help in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, announced today by French President Francois Hollande.
Hollande announced the sending of the only French aircraft carrier during the opening of the new building of the ministry of defense, although he did not say when they will set sail from the port of Toulon in the Mediterranean Sea.
The aircraft carrier "Charles de Gaulle" will increase air forces of the international coalition carrying out the attacks in Syria and Iraq, as well as the French planes which have a base in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
French aircraft carrier was previously in the Persian Gulf from February to April, when there were 15 to 20 take-offs daily.
