The raids of the Turkish companies in Russia, kept tourists from Turkey

Moscow has prevented trucks with Turkish goods to enter the country in response to the shooting down Russian planes.
Russian police raided the Turkish companies in different parts of Russia, and in some cases suspended their operations, told the Al Jazeera two Turkish businessmen who have invested in the country.

Moscow has also started sending back the Turkish trucks with export goods at the border and stop the Turkish tourists, who do not need visas to enter the country, said at least two businessmen.

Turkish and Russian foreign ministers, which was contacted by telephone, did not respond to questions related to this story at the time of its publication.

Moscow's move comes after Turkish fighters shot down a Russian warplane SU-24, claiming that it violated the airspace of Turkey, while Russian officials stressed that the aircraft was over Syria.

"The Turkish companies in Russia, especially in the construction companies, are carried out raids," said Al Jazeera Turkish director of a company for the production in Russia, under the condition of anonymity.

"They check whether someone has a work visa that has expired or no. They check whether the work carried out by the rules or not."

"There were serious violations in the field of the construction companies and the Russian government knows it. The activities of some companies were frozen because of that," he said.

Cevdet Seylan, a businessman who operates in the city of Kazan, also confirmed that the police have carried out raids in Turkish companies.

Returned trucks with Turkish goods

Osman Bagdatlioglu, president of the Turkish Union of exporters of ornamental plants and other product, the said that several trucks with flowers returned back to Turkey on Wednesday after Russian authorities prevented them from entering the country.

"Six trucks have returned on Thursday. We stopped all deliveries. We stopped and delivery by air," he told Al Jazeera.

"Officially there are no obstacles, but we came across those unofficial. This will have a big impact on our business in the short and long term. In Europe, our largest partner is Russia," he added.

Blocking goods is reported and Adnan Dalgakiran, a member of the Council of Turkish exporters, who on Wednesday night on Twitter wrote: "The entry of Turkish goods blocked at the Russian customs."

Another businessman, who wished to remain unnamed, said that all truck drivers who are thought to be transporting Turkish products told to wait at the border, regardless of registration marks.

"At the border, checking every truck, no matter whose license plates had. Checked all related to the goods," he said.

"They counted goods, checking her weight, etc., finding excuses to have to wait, or is sent back."

Meanwhile, a number of Turkish citizens confirmed to Al Jazeera that Russia is returning tourists from Turkey who are trying to enter the country, finding a variety of "excuses" and delaying the entry of Turks who have a work or residence permit.

Turkish and Russian tourists were able to travel to the two countries without visas since 2011.

Waiting at the airport while checking the residence

Seylan businessman said that the Russian authorities forced him and other Turks are waiting at the airport in the city of Kazan for an hour as they tried to enter the country on Wednesday.

"The police went to our residence address, verify all of us and then allowed us to enter the country," he told Al Jazeera.

"In the evening on November 24 were also raids took place in the Turkish flats and cafes in which Turks are going. Students and professionals were detained. They were released after interrogation."

Officials of Turkish Airlines said that the Turkish authorities are not warned of any restrictions concerning the entry to Russia.

The arrested businessmen

Yesterday in Russia detained 26 Turkish businessmen, who are in the country traveled to the Agricultural Fair, communicated the Anatolia news agency reported.

They are from Turkey traveled to the city of Sochi to participate in the international fair of agriculture "YUGAGRO".

Diplomatic sources confirmed that 26 Turkish businessmen were detained after arrival at the fair.
