Vucic: Gašić can not remain Minister
Minister Bratislav Gašić on Sunday in an offensive manner commented on the work of B92 journalist Zlatija Labović.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday the Minister of Defense and State Bratislav Gašić, after comments addressed B92 journalist, can not remain a minister, even though the work is great served.
He told reporters that he was shocked and surprised when he heard what was said yesterday Gašić lovely wine and that such things can not and should not happen to anyone.
"I was always against the criticism and harangue and I always asked and his back and head for all his ministers who were exposed ruthlessly attacks, when they were guilty only because the ministers in my government, or when attacked simply because someone has to something to be guilty. I asked him as a shield, protecting them from fraudulent attacks. Time trying to protect Serbia, truth and justice ... From this he did Gašić, for I can not find some excuse, no justification, "said Vucic and apologized to the B92 on behalf of the whole government.
The head of government in Belgrade said the Serbian women must be protected and how well that Gašić apologized and repented, but it was not enough.
"We need to draw a line, to make a difference," he said and explained that his government wants a decent Serbia.
"Gašić my friend, vice president of my party, one of my most loyal friends. I have maybe two more of those in government. The better the defense minister, but I have been 10 times better than any of our predecessors, "said the Prime Minister and expressed his belief that Gašić understand his decision.

'Sexist comment'

The Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia requested on Monday the dismissal Gašić and called on all media and journalists that, until it is removed, "freeze any kind of communication with the Minister of Defence and boycott all the events in which he participates."
From NUNS expressed dismay over what it said in a statement, inappropriate, sexist comments of the Minister of Defence addressed the B92.
"We believe that Gašić after this vulgarity, which represents the pinnacle of non-compliance with the journalistic profession, but also because of some past mistakes, including violations of the law, must be removed from ministerial office," said a statement by NUNS.
The Association called on all its members and media workers to join the protest that will be organized on Monday night in front of the Serbian government in Belgrade.
Apology Minister
Gašić on Sunday apologized to journalists Labović and the Serbian public because, as he said, his shameful and scandalous behavior.
"I want to publicly apologize to the journalist Zlatija Labović and Serbian public because of my present disgraceful and scandalous behavior. Justifications in my statement, whatever the moment uttered, simply do not have," he said in a statement.
"Please journalist B92 Labović of gold and all citizens of Serbia that we believe that the statement made by sincere regret."
