Identified 31 people in an attack on New Year's night in Cologne
The attacks on women in Cologne, New Year's Eve participated asylum seekers from the Middle East, and have been identified and one from Serbia, the United States and two German nationals.
A spokesman for the German Interior Ministry Tobias Plate said at a press conference that the federal police identified 31 persons that I took part in the violence, and that 18 of them applied for asylum.
He added that most of the 32 crimes which he documented the police that night relating to theft and bodily injury.
Three related to sexual assault, according to Reuters.
Plate said that among the 31 suspects who were questioned were nine Algerians, eight Moroccans, five Iranians and four Syrians.
Among those who are suspected of criminal acts that night were two German nationals, one Iraqi, one from Serbia and one US citizen.
