BiH's application for EU membership in order to be accepted
Following the publication of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina that our country application for membership in the EU to submit as early as next week, precisely on February 15th, these days well underway diplomatic preparations for this event which will be our country once again demonstrate commitment to the European path.
There is concern that BiH. Applications not going to be credible and acceptable, because the authorities have not yet adjusted to the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA). The European Commission (EC) and a large number of State understands that the new government in recent months intense work on reforms and speed up the European path and to the acceptance of applications like to provide an incentive. Especially since accepting applications only begins the real process of harmonization with EU standards.
- So far, the authorities were lethargic and did not show any interest to move the process forward. What makes the new government is a huge step for which the EU sees in us a serious negotiator. As for the process of adjustment of the SAA, the head of the negotiating team Hamdo Tinjak said that this process is ongoing and that is still working on the negotiating position of BiH.
