HUNGARY sends more troops on border crossings with Serbia
The Hungarian government announced the deployment of an additional 1,500 troops and policajskih officials on its border with Serbia after the declaration of a state of emergency throughout the country in response to the refugee crisis in Europe.Interior Minister Sandor Pinter announced this during a press conference in Budapest.
The move took place just a day after the declaration of Slovenia on the closure of its border crossings to those who do not have a valid visa of the European Union, in order to effectively block the Balkan route used by refugees to way to western Europe.
