CHILDHOOD UNDER SIEGE: about 250,000 CHILDREN IN SYRIA hungry and in fear waiting DEATH

Approximately 250,000 children in the besieged areas of Syria is struggling with no electricity, food and medicines they desperately needed to survive, warned the international NGO Save the Children.In a report titled "Childhood under ospadom" group of international children's relief organization condemned the psychological impact that the war had left the children in the besieged areas, which are called "open-air prison".

"In each interviewee group, children are said to live in constant fear of attacks. Parents have found that the behavior of their children has changed. They have become withdrawn, aggressive and depresevnija," the report said.As part of the report were presented and the testimony of more than 125 mothers, fathers and children who are, as stated, "show a shocking picture of daily life in the besieged Syrian cities."

When it comes to the work of health workers, the report states that were reported to perform their work under the candles that they're running out of medical supplies, and that babies die at checkpoints because of rising medical care."Fear took control. Children now just waiting for their turn to be killed. Even grow up living waiting for death. When will my turn," said Rihab, a mother from East Gute, the report said.In the besieged places where a sniper killing anyone who tries to get out of the city, young people die only a few kilometers from the warehouses that are full of drugs and other medical supplies. They roam around in malnourished delirium of hunger.

The report said that children are forced to eat animal feed or leaves to survive.
"Children are dying for lack of food and medicines in parts of Syria, just a few kilometers from the warehouses that are full of help. They pay the price of not acting together in the world," said Tanya Steele, Director of Save the Children.
