Microsoft was given three months to comply with the decision of the Commission, it says, "The Verge".

This decision is based on research conducted between April and June this year. The commission said that other European data protection organizations formed contact group to explore Microsoft's practice of collecting personal data after exiting Windows 10 last June, according to "CDM" ...

From the CNIL decided to issue a publication because of "the seriousness of the offense and the number of individuals concerned to privacy," noting that in France there are ten million users of Windows 10. The Commission came to the discovery that Microsoft collects excessive amounts of data users their operating system, including those of the applications removed with the Internet and time spent using them. In addition, it was revealed that American companies use "cookies" to help users showed personalized ads without adequate notice or ability to opt out.

From Microsoft said they will work with the CNIL on "finding an acceptable solution."
