Recently, Dr. Dragan Ilic, director of the Institute for Public Health "Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut" said that Serbia key threat when it comes to diseases carried by mosquitoes just fever West Nile. - On the basis of experience and large outbreaks we had in 2013, when there were about 300 heavy patients and 33 deaths, but that could not be repeated this year, definitely we can expect infection during the second half of July, especially in August. Transfers of the local mosquitoes, but they get the virus from wild birds. Far from that, we since the disease emerged in Serbia in 2012 gained a collective immunity. It is good that now we do not have a single case of illness, but we have to start to protect themselves - said dr. Ilic.

He also mentioned that it is important to protect the people who live in the basements of buildings next to the substation for heating, because there breed mosquitoes.
