ZVIZDIĆ: ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE EU ONE of the most NEWS FOR BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić rated the decision of the General Affairs of the European Union to accept the request of Bosnia and Herzegovina for EU membership "historic moment for the European path and European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina", reports the Anatolia.

- Getting the green light, and a positive response to the application of Bosnia and Herzegovina for EU membership and conclusion with which to begin preparations for getting the questionnaires are one of the most important stages in this process. Phase in whose realization we have been doing in the last 14 months has been successfully completed and this is actually one of the most positive news for BiH, for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and especially for young people who will soon live in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a member of the EU, the Zvizdić after the European Council.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zvizdić congratulated everyone who participated in this process, first of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the next very important step towards European integration. At today's meeting of the General Affairs Council of the European Union, chaired by Prime Minister delegated to the Government of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok, accepted the request of Bosnia and Herzegovina for membership in the European Union and give tasks to the European Commission to develop a questionnaire for BiH.

After the request for membership in the European Union submitted in February this year and after all the requirements of the European agenda that are necessary to consider the application, the Council of the European Union today formally requested the European Commission to submit its opinion on the application for membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union. This means that Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period to get a set of several thousand questions to be answered.
