UNIVERSITY OF SARAJEVO: WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY THE DAYS OF MOURNING

On the occasion of the tragic accident that took the lives of two students of the Department of Psychology, University of Sarajevo Selma Agic (21) and Edita Malkoč (20), today held a special session of the Senate of the University of Sarajevo, which began with a minute of silence and paying tribute to the innocent female students .

"It is a great and tragic loss for the families of the victims of female students", stressed the members of the Senate and pointed to share the grief with their families.In addition to express sincere sympathy to the families, friends, fellow students and teachers, it is emphasized that this is a great loss for the Faculty of Arts, University of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"The Senate has invited students of the University of Sarajevo to the eventual public speeches and gatherings act with dignity," the statement said of the Senate.The Senate of the University of Sarajevo requires the authorities to emergency responses and concrete action to do everything to improve the security of the citizens of Sarajevo and the Sarajevo University students whose members are deployed along the main road from Ilidza to Bascarsija."The tragic loss of life are irrecoverable, but we think that is urgently needed to act preventively," the Senate.

At the initiative of the Student Parliament, University of Sarajevo Senate concluded that the next two days, the days of mourning for the University of Sarajevo.Tomorrow, Wednesday, the first classes at all universities and colleges of the University of Sarajevo will begin with a minute of silence and a tribute tragically victimized students at the Faculty of Philosophy.

For all members of the University will flag the next two days will be lowered to half-mast. The book of condolence will be opened at the Faculty of Philosophy. Delegation of the University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Philosophy will attend Dzenaza student Selma Agic from Bugojno and Edith Malkoč from Bosanska Krupa.
