Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Tuesday at an international conference in Belgrade criticized Croatia for blocking the opening of Chapter 26, but at the same time called on Zagreb for talks, bilateral cooperation and create a society without boundaries, racial and religious conflicts.
Addressing the foreign ministers of the participants of the meeting of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Belgrade, Nikolic said that Serbia expected support in the opening of new negotiating chapters with the EU, all member states and asked whether it is worth rating one State of the Union as well as other marks 27, referring to the opposition Croatian opening chapter 26 on education and culture.
According to European diplomatic sources, several countries, including Croatia, who have denied approval for the opening of Chapter 26 - Education and Culture, had a few remarks with regard to education in minority languages.
