Lavrov suggested the expulsion of 35 American diplomats from Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday suggested the expulsion of 35 American diplomats, as well as the closure of two US diplomatic missions in Moscow, in retaliation for US sanctions on Russia, reported the Associated Press.

The White House said Thursday new sanctions against Russian entities and individuals for alleged hacking of US presidential elections.Nine Russian entities and individuals, including two Russian intelligence service, was sanctioned for allegedly interfering in the American elections, said in a statement outgoing US leader Barack Obama.In addition, the State Department announced expulsion of 35 Russian officials from the United States, alleging that they acted "in a manner jazzy their political status", Xinhua reported.
