UPITNO issuing passports?
The information that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina after 21 March of this year will not be able to remove passports, because there will be no passport books is prejudiced, says the director of the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) Edim Nesimi.
The actual situation is such that the existing Law on Public Procurement and conditions concerning public procurement procedure simply does not leave enough room to be able to March 21 to complete this process of procurement passport books, explains Nesimi.
- Regarding further action in connection with the Agency and the completion of this case, we are in any case already at the stage of making a new tender documents, but also go with this information to the relevant Ministry, the Council of Ministers, of which we expect to come up with specific, so I say, modalities for overcoming this situation. So, the information that passports will not be after 21 March is something that is related to the future, about how we can now speak and I sincerely hope that the Council of Ministers and the relevant ministry, and IDDEEA find an appropriate way to overcome this situation - says Edim Nesimi.
The modalities can be different, according Nesimi. From existing suppliers to continue purchasing further, and above all, depends on the attitude of the Council of Ministers.
- In any case, some will assume some responsibility and to overcome this situation, given the fact that the Law on Public Procurement does not recognize this situation because it is the specific commodities that can not be found in free sale. - Says.Stock passport books can not be made because the current system does not provide for this, or does not provide, concludes Nesimi, adding that the problems in the supply of citizens passports will not be as long as the existing agreement.
