UNICEF: Millions of children in eastern Ukraine NEED HUMANITARIAN AID

International Fund for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said that one million children in eastern Ukraine urgently needs humanitarian aid, reports Anadolu Agency.

A spokesman for UNICEF Christophe Boulierac told that due to the conflict in the east of the country displaced 1.7 million people, and many families lost their source prihoda.Boulierac pointed out that during the conflict Russian separatists and government forces has caused damage to 740 schools and urged the parties to respect the agreement from Minsk, Belarus. He warned that violation of the cease-fire endangers children physically and mentally.

He added that the number of children in comparison to last year increased by 420,000. A spokesman said that UNICEF should fund of 31.3 million dollars for education, health, drinking water ...The conflict with Russian separatists in the Donbass region, in the east of Ukraine is from 2014.The United Nations (UN) said on Monday that since the beginning of the conflict in the Donbas until today, killing around 10,000 people, and that 23,000 people were injured.
