EU introduces visa Americans
The decision was adopted by Parliament of the EU, because the United States refused to introduce a visa-free regime for Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Poland and Romania.The European Parliament today voted for the abolition of visa-free travel for US citizens traveling to EU member states, reports Britain's The Independent.
The decision came after the United States refused to grant visa-free regime for citizens of five EU member states - Bulgaria, Croatian, Cypriot, Polish and Romanian, which was an integral part of the Agreement on reciprocity.

The vote of the Committee on Civil Liberties EU Parliament means that American citizens have to remove the supporting documents for travel to the EU for a period of one year from the effective date of this decision of the European Commission.The European Commission decided three years ago that the United States fails to fulfill its obligations under the Agreement on reciprocity, but so far has not taken any legal action.
