In BiH discovered 77 tons of hazardous potatoes imported from the European Union

In previous days the inspection was initially banned the import of two shipments of seed potatoes in the amount of 47.5 tons originating from the Netherlands and France, and another six shipments of seed potatoes.Inspection BiH banned imports and ordered return to sender six shipments of seed potatoes in the amount of about 77 tons originating from Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Germany, because it was determined the presence of the regulated harmful organism "Fusarium sp."

As announced by the Inspectorate, in the analyzed samples of seed potatoes showed the presence of the regulated harmful organism "Fusarium sp." as a percentage of six to 14 percent, and the percentage allowed is one per cent.In previous days the inspection was initially banned the import of two shipments of seed potatoes in the amount of 47.5 tons originating from the Netherlands and France, and another six shipments of seed potatoes.

- With regard to the origin of the infected shipments from countries which are serious producers of seed potatoes in Europe, it can be seen that during the last year in the EU there were problems with the production of seed potatoes.Bearing in mind that the flow of goods between the entities free, prohibiting the importation of infected shipments we informed the competent federal inspection, in order to prevent imports of such seed potatoes at the border FBiH - was released from the Inspectorate.
