UO BHRT A: situation is alarming, revenue fell 200 thousand KM

The Management Board of BHRT at today's emergency session discussed the drastic fall in revenue of broadcasters for violations of the Law on Public Broadcasting System BiH or the provisions on the distribution of income from the license fee, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).The Management Board has requested urgent meetings with representatives of the Council of Ministers and the courses of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the purpose of finding concrete solutions that will ensure the survival of the Radio-Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Also requested is that the management of BHRT in direct contact with the entity services in the next 30 days try to resolve mutual claims. Otherwise, management of BHRT will be forced to request the competent court an interim measure to prevent FTV and RTRS to illegally retain income from the license fee which belongs BHRT.The Management Board of BHRT calls on all operators of public broadcasting in Bosnia and Herzegovina in respect of the Public Broadcasting System of BiH in a way that all income from fees paid to a single account, rather than, as before, on the accounts of the entity services in violation of Article 23 of the Law .

In what situation is BHRT will, best shown by the fact that by mid April through BH Telecom paid 57,000 KM, of Telekom RS 60,000.That is about 200,000 KM less than in March of this year. At the same time, FTV and RTRS still retain all the revenue they charged for their services, although they are legally bound 50 percent of the funds transfer BHRT.
