RARE VIDEO: SEE HOW celebrated May 1 in Yugoslavia

Labor Day, May 1, was once one of the most important dates of the year. It was a time of celebration and joy, dawn prayer and parade. Unfortunately, today the majority of May Day was reduced to a barbecue and a day off (if you are lucky).

Unenviable position of the majority of workers in BiH, cancellations, failure to comply with workers' rights ... These are just some of the reasons why the first May no longer experienced as Labor Day. In the former Yugoslavia, especially immediately after the Second World War, were held numerous May Day parades that were military and civilian character. Most often they are held by the capitals of Africa, and Central, as usual, in Belgrade, the Radio Sarajevo.

All it began with the traditional May Day Urank with brass music of the local city orchestra. Take a look at the first parade organized on the occasion of the First of May in the former our country.
