BiH / BH Airlines is looking for investors for the purchase of aircraft

Former Bosnian. national air carrier BH Airlines declared bankruptcy in 2015 due to the blocking of the account of the Austrian leasing company HETA, because of arrears for the purchase of two, but then, obsolete aircraft.

That year, the total debt of BiH. companies amounted to about 17.5 million, and is the only national airline was doomed. However, two years later, Bosnia and Herzegovina could get a new domestic airline, but the basic precondition for that purpose he found a partner willing to invest in the purchase of aircraft.

Specifically, in Sarajevo on Monday began the eighth International Investment Conference Sarajevo Business Forum 2017 which will during two days to gather eminent names from the business world, business, economics and entrepreneurship. Precisely, one of the projects of the SBF is the establishment of BiH. airlines, and in fact is a private company United Airlines, which already exists from before, but does not have a plane.

Namely, as it says in the description of the project that can be found on the official website of the Sarajevo Business Forum 2017, the company is looking for a strategic partner who will invest money in the purchase of the aircraft so that our country has received domestic airline to those of all other European countries.

This project is on the list of investment SBF offered to investors.

The proposal to investors, said that the company has the capacity to in a very short time, provide all the necessary permits to begin flight, this is a 100 percent domestic firms and that twice already licensed to international standards. As an advantage according to the fact that in BiH there is currently no domestic airline which would represent the competition, which means that nobody could jeopardize its leading position.

The proposal also states the investor expects that the acquisition of aircraft, and that the expected investment of 100 million euros. However, it added that the investment may be gradually or at least 2 million. Today is a member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic received in Sarajevo Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a member of the ruling family of Dubai, who chairs the national airline Emirates and investment fund Dubai World.

And one of the topics discussed was precisely the deepening of bilateral ties of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Dubai, especially in the field of tourism, which has recorded a significant increase. Also, there was discussion about expanding capacity air route Sarajevo - Dubai, as well as on the possibilities of relaxation of the visa regime.
