BiH / The prices of driving exams could increase, driving schools denied

The prices of driver examinations at the level of the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not uniform and in the forthcoming period they could be increased by 500 convertible marks.

Due to the unevenness of the examination price for driving the driver, the Law on the Basics of Traffic Safety on the Roads of BiH, which entered into force on February 15 this year, stipulates that the prices of driver examinations are determined by the Council of Ministers of BiH. Increasing the price of driver examinations was requested by the Association of Auto Schools of BiH based in Banja Luka in order to find the lowest price as a tax base told Zdravko Ilić from the Management Board of this Association.

Ilic stated that this law had been in 2007, and that it is necessary to go into control of taxpayers who do not pay taxes because, as he said, BiH loses 5-10 million KM per year only for tax purposes. On the other hand, Velid Alibašić of Coach Driving School believes that the story of driving the price of driving exams is a little overwhelmed. "There is no need to increase the price of driving examinations when the rates for driving schools do not increase," Alibašić said in his driving school for the price of driving exams for 25 convertible marks.

He added that the proposal goes into the domain of the whole economy, pointing out that the Association is only two motorists from the Republika Srpska, and that their proposal does not want to protect competitiveness. "For individual driving schools, it's just an excuse to put a bill on the invoices, and they will be charging more through additional insurance, so that the price at the end is the same as the others," Alibašić added. Driving exam prices at BiH level are not uneven. For driving a driving exam in Herzegovina, you will allocate around 1.100 KM, in Bosnia 1.200, while in RS the price is much lower.

In order to pass a driving exam in Coach you have to allocate somewhere around 1.200 KM. The price is 20 KM including a VAT price of 3.5 KM, an average fuel of 5 KM, the work of an instructor or a trained person who undergoes training every three months and the amortization of the vehicle. "Sadly, driving a driver's exam requires two or three average salaries in BiH, but not those that represent the average," he said at the end.
