Nikšić: Let's all work together to fight for a better country

President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH, Nermin Niksic, said at a forum in Sarajevo today that today a political struggle for a full, multi-state state in which all citizens will be equal, is in fact a struggle for normal BiH "and in reality a continuation of the anti-fascist struggle". He pointed out that he is certain that normal people are the majority in BiH. However, he added, most of it is too quiet, passive and unorganized.

- On the other hand, the nationalist minority is loud, aggressive and well-organized. That is why I think it is high time that this changes, to raise a voice in the struggle against nationalism, to gather in a common block against division and to engage all together in a fight for a better country, Niksic said. He said that he accepted the greatest responsibility for those who lead the political parties.

"That is why I want to send a very clear message that we must unite in this struggle, that we all have to work together so that the anti-fascist majority can finally take over the fate of this country," Niksic said. President of the SDP BiH General Assembly and State Parliamentary Representative Saša Magazinović said about activities at that level, saying that the SDP initiated amendments to the VAT Law by paying BiH taxpayers to the state, ie VAT, not when They issue an invoice rather than a billing job.

He noted that the system they are proposing works in 22 EU countries, Serbia, Croatia ... He pointed out that this does not apply to telecoms, power companies and other giants, but to small businesses that have the exact prescribed annual trade limit. Magazinovic says that 30,000 businessmen have so far supported this initiative.

President of the Cantonal Committee of SDP BiH Damir Mašić said that the results SDP has recorded in the Canton Sarajevo area in the last three election cycles and more than modest. He argued that "without the strong SDP, the strengthening of the SDP in Sarajevo, it is hard to expect and realize the projected election result when it comes to the SDP in BiH in the 2018 elections."

- Therefore, our common goal is to make the SDP the most powerful political party in Sarajevo in 2018 and also SDP in BiH - said Mašić. SDP General Secretary Irfan Čengić noted that a public forum was organized on the occasion of the Election Program. He reminded that the BiH SDP Presidency last month adopted a decision to join the election program, 16 months before the election. According to him, the SDP Presidency conducted a survey among citizens in BiH and they set ten priorities, which are the biggest problems in our country.

- After that, we want to examine all of our members, what are their priorities in these areas. So the citizens said that economics and employment were the most important for them. After that, the fight against crime and corruption, and for the first time so high in surveys and healthcare - said Čengić.

Then comes education, public administration, social justice, international relations, culture, sports, youth, tourism, and ecology. He announced that the party presidency would set up working groups that would have the task of making drafts of all policies within SDP's electoral program in the next three months.
