The incumbent President of the Turkish Amnesty International has fired

The Amnesty International (Amnesty International), the head of the Turkish branch of the Amnesty International, has been formally arrested today under the charge of being a member of the terrorist group.

Attorney Taner Kilidža, who has been in custody since Tuesday, was arrested in the western province of Izmir when five other lawyers accused of using encrypted communications. The BajLok system (ByLock) allegedly uses the network of fugitive Fetulaha Gulen, whom the Turkish authorities accuse of organizing the unsuccessful shoot last summer.

Amnesty International called Kilidževo's arrest as "defeating injustice", and Secretary General Salil Seti said that this trial is proof of comprehensive and arbitrary cleansing in Turkey after a brief crackdown. More than 50,000 people have been arrested in Turkey since last flight due to alleged connections with Gulen.
