Saudi Arabia denies that it banned Qatar citizens from entering the Mecca

Saudi Arabia has denied that it banned Qatar citizens from entering the Muslim holy city of Mecca after last-night decision to cease contacts with Qatar, Al Arabiya's local TV network reported.

The TV network has confirmed that it is allowed that 206 people from Qatar cross the Salwa border crossing last Friday to be able to conduct a pilgrimage to Umrah in Mecca. The Saudi authorities overseeing the administration of the two great mosques in Mecca and Medina confirmed in a statement that they provided services to pilgrims from all over the world, including Qatar, calling news circulating in the media and social networks as unfounded charges.

As Al Arabiya says, several media outlets reported on Sunday that Qatari was denied access to the Mecca and the two large mosques, which Saudi Arabia denied. On the same day that the four Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, had ceased their economic and diplomatic ties with Qatar, Saudi officials announced they would provide all the services for the Catholic pilgrims who are currently in that kingdom. Saudi Arabia and other countries have ceased contact with Qatar because of the allegation that this country supports terrorist groups and is intertwined with the internal affairs of other states
