An investigation was launched against Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump under investigation for possible "obstruction of justice," initiated to determine whether it hindered an investigation into the ties of Russia and his electoral team during the 2016 presidential campaign, the Washington Post announced on Wednesday, calling unnamed, well Informed sources.
The investigation is led by a special prosecutor, Robert Mueller, and the Washington Post has been investigating these days by investigating the highest US intelligence officials. The Washington Post assumes Trump's allegedly "hindering justice" concerns the search for former FBI director James Comey suspending an investigation of former national security advisor Michael Flynn.
Comey last week under oath in Congress testified that Trump indirectly asked him to stop investigating Flynn's relationship with the Russians. Trump later repudiated it completely, saying Comey was lying "under the oath". Officers of the National Intelligence Society Dan Coats, director of the National Security Agency (NSA), Mike Rogers and his late deputy Richard Ledgett have agreed to investigators earlier this week. Trump's lawyer Marc Kasowitz expressed stunned by the fact that Trump was informed by the investigation. "It is scandalous, unjustifiable and unlawful," said Kasowitz spokeswoman Mark Corallo.
The Washington Post states that the questioning of the indictment against the current president, even if the investigation comes to evidence of the commission of the criminal offense, is not questionable, but any evidence gathered could be the basis for the Congress to initiate the recall of the president of the impeachment.
