Boris Becker has bankrupted, no money to repay his debts

Boris Becker (49), once a brilliant German tennis player, officially declared bankruptcy before the British court after failing to repay long-term debt.

The Grand Slama Wrangler's Advocate called on the Registry of the Bankruptcy Court in London to give Last Chance Becker to pay a debt to a private bank Arbuthnot Latham & Co. Which dates back to 2015. Court Registry Christine Derrett said there was no credible evidence that Becker's debt would be paid out soon. She refused to extend the case for another 28 days and announced a bankruptcy order.

"He drew the impression of a man with his head in the sand," Derrett said, adding that he had watched Becker's match at the Wimbledon central field. Becker was born in Germany and lives in London, until recently he was a coach for Novak Djokovic and a TV commentator. His lawyer, John Briggs, argued that there is enough evidence that Becker would pay off the debt through a refinancing arrangement, including property repossession in Mallorca, expected to receive six million euros.

Briggs stressed that it is expected that the Swiss bank will approve the agreement in about a month.
