EU / Do you know which European currency has the same value as a BiH convertible mark
In many German media reports, tourists are invited to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, among other things, because of nostalgia !?
Namely, by traveling to our country, the Germans can remember the old good D-brand, although in the Bosnian edition.
"All prices are in convertible marks that equally apply to German brands, even bear the same name", can be read in numerous tourist guides. But the current BH convertible and the former German mark have another twin in value, in the European Union. It is a Bulgarian lev whose current value is also tied to the euro, more precisely one euro worth 1.95583 leva.
Approximately one year after the decision of the currency board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH convertible mark for the German mark, the same move was made by Bulgaria. Since July 5, 1999, lev has been redone in the 1000: 1 ratio and is equal to the German mark. Today, the convertible mark and the lev are the same, just like their smaller units - the phoenix and the hundreds. It is uncertain how long the KM will have a Bulgarian twin as it has long speculated that the Bulgarians will cross the euro.
