Bosnia and Herzegovina is among the best children for growing up and upbringing children, according to a recent study by the global non-governmental organization Save the Children, based in the United States.

According to research by the experts of this reputable organization, our country, together with Slovenia and Croatia from the region, belongs to the group of countries where the smallest number of children finish their childhood prematurely, and where the smiling members of society have adequate access to basic needs, such as parental care, nutrition, education , Health ... The index compiled by researchers says that our country is among the top 35 countries. The group is led by Norway and Slovenia. BiH is better placed even from the United States and Russia.

"For at least 700 million children around the world, childhood ends too soon. The most common reasons for this are poor health, conflicts, violence, child marriages, premature pregnancy, malnutrition, exclusion from education and the exploitation of children for work. All these factors have created a global crisis of massive proportions, "the report says. For this reason, the organization made the first such report that warns of factors and countries that "child childhood" are being stolen.

The worst situation is in Niger, Angola, Mali, the Central African Republic, Somalia and Chad. Among the best placed are, behind Norway and Slovenia, Finland, Holland, Sweden, Portugal and Ireland. BiH is the best category where "a small number of children remain without childhood". Other countries of the region, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo, as well as many EU Member States, such as Romania and Bulgaria, have placed their country behind and significantly worse. Our country is worst rated in the category of children who due to the conflict have had to leave their home.
