London is the most expensive city in Europe for life, followed by Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, has recently been calculated by the European Statistical Office EurostatThe cost of living in European capitals was compared with Brussels and Luxembourg who got 100 points.
Research has shown that life is the most expensive in London, which received 166.9 points. High cost of living is the result of expensive housing and public transport. The average living space in London is about 10,500 euros, reports EurActiv. Copenhagen is second with 131.8 points, followed by Stockholm with 127.9 and Helsinki with 119.7 points.
Dublin is ranked fifth on 116.6 points and is somewhat more expensive than Paris, which many consider to be one of the most expensive cities in the world, and in the EU is sixth with 114.6 points. The most expensive city for life in Europe is Amsterdam with 107.8 points, and eighth Vienna with 105.9 points.
In the ninth place are Brussels and Luxembourg with 100 points, and the tenth most expensive city is Rome with 99.4 points. The cheapest for life in Europe is Sofia with 52.1 points. Following is Bucharest with 64.8 points and Budapest and Vilnius with 69 .Zagreb received 74.6 points in this survey and is somewhat more expensive than Prague (73.4 points) and cheaper than Ljubljana (81.2 points).
