Vucic will not come to Potocari, he will meet on July 11th with Erdogan in Istanbul
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not come to mark the 22nd anniversary of genocide in Srebrenica this year, it was confirmed from his cabinet.
Namely, the first man of Serbia goes on a visit to Istanbul on July 11th, where he will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Vucic, a few days ago, after meeting with the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, told reporters he did not know if he would attend this year's commemoration in Potocari.
"I think it is more important to preserve good relations. Of course, I will show my pet on that day," Vucic said before announcing that he will meet with Erdogan on the day of commemoration. Vucic met with the Turkish President at the beginning of May this year in Beijing, when Erdogan urged him to visit Turkey, saying that this visit will contribute to the development of the relations between the two countries.
We recall, at the last anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, Vucic, the then Prime Minister of Serbia, was attacked with stones after laying a flower at the Memorial Monument in Potocari.
