BiH has not signed the Transport Community Treaty

Today, representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not attend the signing of the Treaty on Accession to the Transport Community, which represents a unique formation of a single transport infrastructure market - both land and maritime transport between the EU and the Western Balkan countries.

Today in Trieste, the future of the Western Balkans was discussed with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni as hosts and representatives of the European Union. The agreement was signed by Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo. The plan is for the Western Balkan countries to adopt EU legal regulations, more convenient and planned highways and speedways, modernize lines and accelerate the flow of goods.

"So far, because of the lack of this strategic document, BiH has lost at least EUR 200 million, if we do not have a strategy, we can not participate in EU funds through the IPA or through this platform for the Western Balkans, Hundreds of millions of euros, "said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic.

The BiH priority list lists four projects on Corridor Vc shares, two shares in the Federation of BiH, one in the Republic of Srpska, and the revitalization of the Port of Brčko. Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic was led by BH. Delegation at today's Summit on the Western Balkans, held in Trieste.
