The CIA Director admits he was joking with Trump about the Syrian chemical weapons attack, which caused the United States to attack Syria's Tomahawk missiles
CIA Director Mike Pompeo admitted that he had deceived President Trump in a false belief that the chemical weapons attack in Syria was under the direction of the Syrian government
A fake flag, which was actually carried out by rebel groups run by the CIA in the region, resulted in Trump launching a Tomahawk rocket attack in Syria that killed 15 civilians. Activistpost.com reports that in a recent speech at INSA Leadership on July 11, Pompeo gave a typical speech about keeping the world intelligence community, how difficult it is to be in his position, the importance of everything, etc. But during the speech, however, Pompeo slipped slightly.
Pompeo emphasized in his speech:
I received a call from the president one afternoon in April. He wanted to talk about some disturbing images that came from Syria. I'm sure that you have seen many of them and yourself, and the scene of innocent civilians in cramps and agony, it's obvious that they were victims of chemical weapons attack. The president had a very direct message for me: Find out what happened. So we immediately gathered a team of experts from the Agency. They began to gather evidence, working closely with some special partners from the entire intelligence community.
The next day, the president called his entire cabinet. When we sat down, he turned to me and asked what we discovered. I told him that the intelligence community had concluded that the chemical weapons in the attack were indeed used, and that it was launched by the Syrian regime. The President paused for a moment and said, "Pompeo, are you sure?" I admit that this question took me a little bit of breath. But I knew how strong I had, and I was able to look it in the eyes to say: Mr. President, we have great confidence in our estimates.
The president did not look back. Based on the judgment of the intelligence community, he made one of the most important consequent decisions in his young administration, launching an attack on the airport itself where the chemical attack was carried out. I assure you that when it comes to the trust of the supreme commander, the CIA and the intelligence community have a large share in that. In other words, Pompeo is directly against the sources of Seymour M. Hersh, who announced that Syria was not guilty of chemical attacks, saying that Trump was not the one who led the bombing campaign but the intelligence community.
Of course, Trump is ultimately responsible for making the wrong decision, but we must note that, according to Pompe himself, Trump asked for answers about who committed the attack. It was an intelligence community that gave the answer to the president convincing him that Assad was responsible. Obviously, given all the evidence surrounding the airport in Khan Sheikhoun, the idea that Assad has committed an attack with chemical weapons is ridiculous.
That just did not happen. The United States has no evidence that the incident was what they claim and all the evidence the Russians and independent researchers have pointed to is the opposite, even with the fact that the entire incident may have been planned to undermine the Syrian government in order to ensure justification for the attack In Syria by the United States
