Imaginely costly: If you go to sea in Croatia, MUST Avoid this city

The Dubrovnik City Council voted today to amend the Decision on the organization and manner of charging and controlling parking in the City of Dubrovnik, according to which, during the summer regime, an hour's of parking in the zero zone near the historical core will increase from 40 kunas (about 10.5 KM) to 75 kuna (About 20 KM).

"It is necessary to redefine the price of the existing hour card, full time cards in full time and daily tickets in the manner that in the summer period from May 1 to October 31 the price of the saturday card instead of 40 kuna is 75 kunas, full time in full, instead of the previous 800 kuna Now 1500 kuna and daily card instead of 800 kuna is 1,500 kuna, "the decision says.

By adopting the decision, changes will occur in the winter regime, so from November 1 to April 30, the parking lot will cost 40 instead of 20 kunas, and the full time duration and daily cost would be 800 instead of 400 kuna. Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Frankovic says he believes the price of this car is appropriate for his location. "The one who wants to park here near Stradun will pay those 75 kunas. Our fellow citizens have the opportunity to purchase monthly subscription tickets at the price of 60 kuna depending on the zone, "he said, adding that a number of Dubrovnik residents decided on that option.

Otherwise, the weekly ticket for the second parking zone, or parking around the historical core of Dubrovnik for the summer period from May 1 to October 31, costs 1,500 kuna (close to 400 KM), while in the winter period and from November 1 to April 30, it is 300 HRK (80 KM). The monthly card costs 4,000 kuna (1,050 KM) in the summer, and 800 kuna (210 KM) in winter, while the annual ticket for the second zone should be 14,000 kuna (3,700 KM). The price of parking outside the tourist season around the historical core of Dubrovnik is ten kunas (about 2.60 KM) per hour.

In Dubrovnik, there are five parking zones, zero, business, second, third and extracurricular parking lot Gradac, which is reserved for users of privileged prepaid cards, to which the residents of Dubrovnik and the surrounding municipalities are entitled. Amendments to the Decision shall enter into force eight days after their publication in the Official Gazette of the City of Dubrovnik.
