Close to half a million people on the streets of Barcelona

Around 450,000 people took to the streets today in Barcelona shortly after Madrid announced that in Catalonia have limited powers of parliament, dissolved the Government and announced elections within six months, police said.

Among the crowd of demonstrators was the president of Catalonia Carles Puđdemon.

The demonstrations were originally organized to protest the arrest of two activists Đordije Kušarta and Đordije Sanchez to charges that they encouraged protests against holding a referendum on the independence of Catalonia on 1 October.However, today's announcement of Madrid has been further affected the mass demonstration in Barcelona.

"I feel angry and very sad. They destroyed our rights and ideas as Catalans. They can destroy everything but we will continue to fight," said one of the participants demonstration of metrologist Agut.
