CIK stated: In the RS more voters than residents
The Central Election Commission has determined the total number of voters in BiH, according to which in Entity of Republika Srpska there are 1,259,936 people with voting rights or 89,594 more than the BiH entity has a population.
If we consider that there are fewer than 200,000 juveniles in the Republika Srpska, according to the existing records, the number of voters is higher for about 300,000 of the population.
"Nothing unusual. All those who have a BiH personal card are in the poll, and we know that many people who do not live in BiH have their document or citizenship and it is impossible for them to confiscate the right to vote, "said Vehid Šehić, former president of the Central Election Commission that in the big cities such as Tuzla, Banjaluka and some others that is visible, that is, that there are far more voters than residents, the Nezavisne is conveyed.
He says similar situations where the number of voters is higher than the number of inhabitants is in the countries of the region, but that is far less pronounced than in BiH.
For example, in Croatia, according to the list, there are 4.29 million inhabitants, and 4.09 million in the voter list. According to this calculation in Croatia, the number of juveniles is only 200,000, which is not correct, as estimates indicate that there are more than 900,000.
In the BiH Central Election Commission, the total number of voters in BiH is determined on the basis of the data obtained from the IDDEA (Agency for Identification Documentation, Record and Data Exchange).
"The number of voters is determined on the basis of issued personal documents," they said at the Central Election Commission of BiH. In other words, the Central Election Commission in the electoral roll ended on 4 December this year with a total of 3,371,914 voters, and from that number the voting right for the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament will be 2,085,241 voters.
